Vermont´s southwest corner´s geographic designation may be Bennington County but in recent years residents and visitors have branded this beautiful region nestled between the Taconic and Green Mountains as The Shires of Vermont. It has the unusual distinction of having two shire towns, historically referred to as county seats. As a fourth generation member of the renowned Moses family, painting is a natural tradition for Will, who began painting when he was four years old.
Today, Will continues to carry on the family tradition. Although his style is reminiscent of that of his celebrated great-grandmother, it is more complex and sophisticated. Will's painting "The Shires of Vermont" celebrates the historic, cultural, and scenic beauty of our region.
